According to the mass media, Indonesia is about to commence SSB Project either having its financial frame revised or not. In fact, however, the Project is not only financially but technically infeasible. A past bridge project in Japan of a shorter span (2000 m) and easier criteria than SSB proves it by being in financial difficulties. Having reflected it, a bridge project in Italy of a longer span (3300 m) but easier criteria was abandoned. Everybody must realize that construction of 2700-m span SSB of the given criteria is infeasible even in developed countries,
much less in a country where a 270-m span bridge collapses. …….. When a nation commences a gross infeasible project, it shows a common process pattern. USA’s Afghan War project is an example. It’s really an unwinnable (infeasible) project. After 12 years, there’s no gain despite twice budgetary surges, and no exit despite 70 % of Americans want it. ……. Given the teaching materials, SSBT shall replace SSB to salvage it from fiasco. This report explains how and why.
